Leigh Allardyce

Kevin Allardyce

Leigh was admitted as an attorney on 20 May 1991 and certified with the right of appearance in the High Court on 6 March 1997. Leigh holds the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts (University of Natal)
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (University of Natal)
  • Registered as a court-appointed mediator by the Department of Justice
First admitted as an attorney on 4 November 1991, Kevin was certified with the right to appear in South Africa’s High Court on 6 August 1997. Kevin holds the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts (University of Natal)
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (University of Natal)
  • Master of Law (RAU)
  • Higher Diploma in Arbitration (Association of Arbitrators of Southern Africa
  • Admitted as a Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators of Southern Africa
  • Registered as a court-appointed mediator by the Department of Justice



With combined experience of nearly 60 years, Kevin and Leigh have represented both the public sector, many of the local and district municipalities, the Department of Housing, Department of Finance etc. and the private sector companies such as the likes of Société Générale (a French commercial bank), Mitsubishi, the Department of Health in Gauteng, Aster International (Pty) Ltd, Bidvest Food Services, QK Meats SA (Pty) Ltd, and the Bargaining Council for the leather industry, to name but a few.

The partners have been involved in numerous litigious cases, including the prosecution of construction disputes including breach and interpretation etc. of Fidic and NEC agreements, insurance and procurement and municipal law involving amongst others water rights disputes, eviction of illegal squatter’s breach of the Procurement acts and regulations and many tender disputes.

Kevin has extensive experience in collective Labour Law, representing unions such as POPCRU, NUM, NEHAWU, SACCAWU, PTAWU, and SATAWU in right disputes, as well as national strikes and many high-profile cases.

Leigh has extensive experience in individual Labour Law and acts for both the individual employees against their employers and for the employer against individual employees, both in internal disciplinary and grievance matters and in the CCMA, Labour Court etc. in both the private and public sector. Leigh also provides training and development on all aspects of the law surrounding construction and labour specifically.
